So Glad You Dropped By

Being outdoors is amazing. It brings tremendous joy - from watching a magnificent sunflower bloom to observing a peacock spread his gorgeous feathers. I'd love to share some stories with you of inspiring, funny or unexpected happenings. Observations that occur both right outside my door and far away from home. Maybe you've been there or possibly it reminds you of your own unique adventure. That's why I hope to capture a glimpse of each story in a variety of ways - through photographs on cards or images on totes ... I foresee smiles coming your way.

Wild Horses Roam on Cumberland Island, GA

There are very few places where wild horses can survive merely by eating sea grass - which is full of salt. At Cumberland Island, GA, horses roam freely. As I watched these precious equine, waves were crashing mere yards behind me. The scene was incredible. I did notice that even when I was directly in front of the horses, they rarely looked at me. Considering their ragged appearance, I believe they eat all day simply to get the minimum nutrition required to survive. Yet, they seem happy to live on this extraordinary island. Tip: Across the waterway is Fort Clinch - a great state park and no need for a ferry. If you bring your binoculars and sit on the beach, you can often see horses walk the distant island looking for food.
